Founded in 2005, Gang Alternative, Inc. (GA) is a faith-rooted nonprofit organization based in North Miami Beach, Florida, committed to empowering individuals and families by offering positive alternatives to crime, violence, dependency, and delinquency. Rather than focusing solely on traditional ministry, GA addresses the deeper societal issues caused by a harmful "gang mentality" that entraps communities in cycles of hardship. Through a holistic, community-driven approach, GA delivers impactful services rooted in five Pillars of Service: Positive Youth Development, Family Strengthening, Workforce Development, Community Upliftment and Partnerships, and Health and Wellness.

GA's work is led by a dedicated Board of Directors representing both public and private sectors, supported by an experienced CEO, leadership team, over 100 staff members, and a strong network of interns and volunteers. The organization takes pride in its multilingual, culturally competent team that is deeply connected to the community it serves. GA’s mission is to build lasting character in children and families, promoting moral integrity, servant leadership, respect, and sustainable community transformation.
