American Legion James Adams Post 376 in Van Alstyne, Texas, we proudly continue the tradition of service and advocacy that has defined The American Legion since its founding in 1919. Created by an Act of Congress following World War I, The American Legion stands as a steadfast voice for veterans, service members, and their families. Our post is dedicated to honoring that mission by supporting those who have served, fostering camaraderie, and strengthening the bond between veterans and the communities they protect.

We are deeply committed to addressing the evolving needs of veterans today, from destigmatizing mental health care to offering peer-to-peer support and community-based resources. Through our programs and outreach, we encourage individuals to “Be The One” in the fight to end veteran suicide, while also ensuring that every generation of veterans and their families receive the respect, advocacy, and opportunities they deserve. At Post 376, we honor the legacy of service while building a stronger future for those who have sacrificed for our nation.
