The Davis Plan, Altadena Gift Card Foundation, and LYM Property Management are dedicated to empowering creatives through a holistic approach that combines artistic development with life planning. Founded by Tugené Davis, a fourth-generation Altadena resident and lifelong dancer, The Davis Plan began as a dance studio and has evolved into a comprehensive platform addressing the challenges artists face in pursuing their passion. Tugené’s experience spans over 20 years of developing and managing studios, including Davis Inspiration Studios, where she integrated creative instruction with life skills to ensure that artists are prepared for the realities of life while pursuing their craft.

Our mission is to cultivate artists who are not only passionate about their work but also viable, balanced, and spiritually grounded. We provide art and life planning programs, events, tools, and resources that support creative communities in achieving both short- and long-term goals, with specializations in theatre and film. Beyond education, we actively engage with the community through partnerships with local organizations, self-care initiatives, and outreach programs. The Davis Plan is committed to transforming the “starving artist” narrative by ensuring every creative has a strong, actionable Plan A.
