Built in 1994, the Majestic Theatre has long been a gathering place for film lovers across the Gunnison Valley. From its opening night featuring Dumb and Dumber, The Jungle Book, and Disclosure, the theatre has remained a beloved landmark for nearly three decades. Though the Majestic closed its doors in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, its story did not end there-community passion and dedication brought it back to life as a space that continues to celebrate the magic of cinema and connection.
Today, the Majestic Theatre is more than a movie house-it’s a vibrant community hub that entertains, educates, and inspires. We offer affordable access to new releases, local films, and special events that reflect the heart of Gunnison Valley. Through collaboration and creativity, we harness the power of film to bring people together, spark conversation, and enrich our community’s shared experience.
