Crested Butte School of Dance (CBSOD) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts education organization dedicated to providing comprehensive dance instruction and performance opportunities. Founded in 1983 by Heidi Duvall and Bobbie Reinhardt, CBSOD has cultivated a thriving community for over 40 years, offering a nurturing environment for young exploring artists and rigorous, standards-based training for serious students. Programs include traditional dance styles on the ground and innovative aerial fabric training, all designed to instill lifelong skills and a deep appreciation for the art of dance.

CBSOD’s mission is to strengthen the connection to ourselves, each other, and the world through dance, while its vision emphasizes fostering integrity, creativity, collaboration, and compassion. The school operates in its long-standing home above the Crested Butte Fire Department and in the Center for the Arts, serving as a hub for inclusive, progressive dance education that inspires students of all ages to grow both artistically and personally.
