Cherokee Hauling, LLC was founded by Managing Owner Mike Tallis to honor his family’s proud Cherokee heritage. His ancestry traces back to Wi Waw Se Ty Ketcher, born in 1807 in North Carolina, whose family endured the hardships of the Trail of Tears. Despite the loss of several ancestors along the way, their legacy of strength and perseverance lives on through generations of the Tallis family, many of whom still reside in the Cherokee Nation territory in Oklahoma.
