Founded nearly 40 years ago, the organization began in Carroll, Iowa, when a group of dedicated parents formed the Carroll County Council for the Prevention of Child Abuse (CCCPCA) to address a critical, unmet need enhancing the safety and well-being of children and families in the community.

Over time, as the scope of services expanded, CCCPCA evolved into what is now known as the Family Resource Center, a nonprofit human services agency committed to empowering families and individuals throughout the region.
