Fire Adapted Bailey is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping the Bailey area become more resilient to wildfire. Affiliated with Fire Adapted Colorado (FACO), the organization collaborates with a working group that includes local Firewise Communities, fire protection districts, emergency management, and environmental organizations such as the Coalition for the Upper South Platte (CUSP). Together, these partners work to prepare residents, protect critical infrastructure, and strengthen the community’s ability to withstand and recover from wildfire events.

The mission of Fire Adapted Bailey is to significantly reduce the potential impacts of major wildfires on homes, businesses, schools, infrastructure, and the surrounding natural landscape. To achieve this, the organization continuously evaluates wildfire hazards, community vulnerabilities, and current mitigation efforts throughout the Bailey area. Their work includes assessing properties at risk, improving evacuation routes, identifying funding opportunities, and engaging the public through education and partnerships. Through these ongoing efforts, Fire Adapted Bailey fosters a safer, more informed, and better-prepared community.
