Description
Historian and photographer Jeff Morrison is the author of two books: *Guardians of Detroit: Architectural Sculpture in the Motor City* and *Guardians of Michigan: Architectural Sculpture of the Pleasant Peninsulas*. He will present a sixty-minute program featuring over 85 stunning images of architectural sculptures inspired by Native American forms and influences found on buildings throughout Michigan. During the presentation, you will learn about the symbolism behind these sculptures and hear untold stories of the artists, artisans, and architects who contributed to the creation of these remarkable structures and the unique art that adorns them.
