Jenks Library's 50th Anniversary
Description

The Jenks Library moved from its original location in a store front on Main Street, opened in 1961, to its current location on Elm & B Street on September 21, 1975. A larger meeting room and staff room were added in 1992 to create the configuration we have today.

Join us at 2 p.m. September 12 for a presentation celebrating how much Jenks loves their library, including special guests, light refreshments, and reminiscences of Jenks Library past and present. Sponsored by the Tulsa Library Trust and the City of Jenks. Come back at 6:30 p.m. for an evening with bestselling historical fiction author Lisa Wingate, a former Jenks resident!

Visit throughout the month to see our display case turned into a time capsule of Jenks Library and community history. Other programs include a 70's-themed trivia night on Tuesday, September 23 at 6 p.m.
