Bank of Belleville Welcomes Brett Schroeder as Business Development Banker

Bank of Belleville recently announced the addition of Brett Schroeder to its growing team. Schroeder joins the bank as a business development banker, bringing more than a decade of experience in technology sales and a passion for relationship-building rooted in community values.

Schroeder has built a successful career in technology sales with two locally owned, family-run companies serving Southern Illinois and the Metro East region. Over the past 14 years, he has worked with a wide range of clients, from small businesses to large organizations, helping them identify the right solutions to meet their goals.

“Brett brings a strong track record of building trusted relationships with small business owners across the Metro East,” said Ryan Osterhage, chief lending officer and market president. “These are exactly the kinds of businesses we are built to serve: locally owned, family-run companies that form the backbone of our communities. Brett’s ability to understand their goals and offer thoughtful, personalized guidance makes him a perfect fit for our team. We are excited to welcome him and know he will be a tremendous resource for the clients we are here to help.”

Schroeder shared that he was drawn to Bank of Belleville “for three key reasons: The bank’s strong, team-oriented culture, its comprehensive financial services for both individuals and businesses, and its enduring mission, ‘Smaller Bank, Bigger Service, Stronger Community.’”

“From my first visit, I could feel the positivity and collaboration within the Bank,” said Schroeder. “I wanted to be part of an organization where personal service and community engagement are at the heart of everything we do. My goal is to help position Bank of Belleville as the one trusted financial partner that can truly do it all.”

A Clinton County native, Schroeder’s commitment to service is deeply personal. Influenced by his mother’s 25-year teaching career and his father’s dedication to volunteering, he is proud to carry that legacy forward. Outside the office, he coaches his daughter’s softball team, volunteers at his church’s annual picnic, and plans to become active with the Mascoutah Athletic Club.

Professionally, Schroeder is especially enthusiastic about helping local, family-owned businesses thrive. “I know how much pride and effort goes into running a small business, and I want to be a difference-maker, someone they can count on,” he said.

Schroeder’s arrival comes at a milestone moment for Bank of Belleville, which is celebrating 20 years of exceptional service and community investment. His addition reflects the bank’s continued commitment to growing with intention, investing in people who value relationships, integrity, and community impact.
