Third Judicial Circuit Issues Edwardsville Jury Duty Scam Alert

In an official announcement received August 11, 2025, Trial Court Administrator Ryan M. Anderson shared the following from the Office of the Chief Judge, Third Judicial Circuit, Madison & Bond Counties regarding a jury duty scam alert for the Edwardsville, IL, courts.

“We have received an increasing number of calls regarding people being contacted by telephone and receiving messages indicating they missed jury service. The scammer gives a fictitious name along with a phone number and email address to contact them. Please hang up and do not give out any personal information. If you have missed jury duty you would receive a letter from the Circuit Court requesting you to come into Court in front of a judge to explain why you were unable to make it to a scheduled jury service.”
