Glen-Ed Pantry Bridging the Gap for Local Families on SNAP

The Glen-Ed Pantry is proactively working with their clients to bridge the gap between their current SNAP benefit and the reduction they may experience in November as a result of the ongoing government shutdown.

While the food pantry will not be able to replace all of the benefits people are losing, they are working to help lessen the impact on local families.

The community can aid in the efforts by donating shelf stable food or money to purchase additional fresh food items including meat, eggs, milk and butter.

For additional information, please contact Jane Ahasay, Executive Director of the Glen-Ed Pantry by phone at 618-656-7506 or by emailing jane@glenedpantry.org.
