Scott Jackson Announces Candidacy for Nephi City Council

NEPHI, UT — Longtime Nephi resident, former corrections officer, and current real estate professional Scott Jackson has officially declared his
candidacy for Nephi City Council in the upcoming election. With a deep love for his community and a proven record of service, Jackson is ready to
bring a steady, compassionate, and solutions-focused voice to the council.

“I love Nephi. This is home,” said Scott. “I'm running because I care about our families, our values, and the future of our town. I believe in listening
to people, finding practical solutions, and working together to make Nephi the best it can be.”

Originally from Sugar House, Jackson and his family moved to Nephi in 2018 and quickly became active members of the community. A father of
seven, stepfather of five, and proud grandfather,Scott has a strong commitment to family and faith. He is an active member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints and a firm believer in lifelong learning and personal development.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Akron before beginning his career in law enforcement. After serving as a full-time missionary
in the Ohio Cleveland Mission, he worked in corrections before transitioning to real estate in 2012. In 2023, Scott survived a life-threatening stroke
during open-heart surgery—an event that has only deepened his resolve to serve others.

Despite partial use of his arms, Scott continues to progress in recovery and remains active in Life Leadership, where he teaches and studies financial
literacy and personal growth. “I know what it means to face hard things,” Scott said. “But I also know how to keep moving forward—and that's
exactly the kind of leadership I want to bring to the council.”

Scott's campaign will focus on promoting transparency, supporting families, and building a strong, safe, and sustainable future for Nephi. He invites
residents to join the conversation, share their concerns, and get involved in shaping a stronger community.
