Goodwill of Southern Nevada Thrift Stores to Support Noah's Animal House in OctoberGoodwill of Southern Nevada’s (Goodwill®) yearlong 50th anniversary celebration continues with an October fundraising campaign that will raise at least $5,000, and up to $10,000, for Noah’s Animal House, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting adults and children with pets who are fleeing domestic violence. The in-store fundraising effort is part of the Goodwill Care-to-Care Nonprofit Fundraising Partnerships program, which invites Goodwill thrift store customers to contribute a dollar or more at checkout to support both Goodwill training scholarships and a monthly local nonprofit organization. “Our career coaches compassionately assist people who are facing major barriers to employment,” said Goodwill of Southern Nevada President and CEO Rick Neal. “Through our partnership with Noah’s Animal House, we are proud to support families who are seeking a safe and secure future.” “Noah’s Animal House provides a safe haven for victims of abuse to keep their beloved pets while they seek help getting back on their feet,” said Noah’s Animal House Foundation Executive Director Marlene Richter. “The funds raised at Goodwill will help us care for survivors’ pets with veterinary or special dietary needs.” Goodwill thrift store customers can contribute to Goodwill training scholarships and Noah’s Animal House services by donating a dollar or more during checkout.
